Who doesn't like a 4-day weekend??

I know I sure as heck freaking love them!  Thank you marketing professor for having to go out-of-town :)

Last night I was thinking about how I could use today as a "sit around and do nothing but relax day", except for taking care of some speech evaluations that are due, but when I woke up this morning (9/9:30 FABULOUS!) I thought to myself "heck no Amy you're going to use this day to be productive".  So, I ended up doing laundry, cleaning up the mess I had in the living room of all my school stuff (online classes mean you never have to pack your books up to take them with you lol), vacuuming the living room, Swiffering (dry and wet) in the kitchen and dinning room, and unloading/reloading and running/unloading/reloading the dishwasher.  Major brownie points with my mom for all of that work I did today (+20 jk).

Those darn speech evals got pushed to the bottom of my priority list, even though they're due today.  It is now after 11pm and I am still working on them.  Because my internet connection=waiting for videos to load I am able to type this post as the last speech video I need to watch loads.  Definitely should have done this earlier in the day when less people had posted their evals.

I hope you don't mind but I need to vent about these evals.  Not about doing them but about people not following directions AT ALL!  Each person is supposed to have 4, ONLY 4, evals for their speech.  My professor cannot get much clearer..."Please make sure that you do not choose to critique any student who has already received four critiques--if you do, another student will receive fewer than four. It will always be safest for you to choose those students who have received the fewest critiques so far in the discussion."  We're in college people, many are "older" students, it is not that hard to read and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS...or is it??  Now I know you might be wondering what the big deal is, or if it really is that big of a deal...and you're right, it's not.  But I am just the type of person who follows the directions, and obviously doesn't like it when others don't follow the directions.  But enough about this...

Tomorrow I am planning to work on homework but I may go snowmobiling for the last time this winter now.  My dad mentioned tonight he would have gone but my brother had already gone out with a friend and when I mentioned this to my mom she said well maybe you and your dad will have to go tomorrow then.  And when I mentioned that my dad asked what I was doing tomorrow and I told him homework my mom also said well maybe you could mention going out for a quick ride to get lunch some where.  So I guess we'll see where tomorrow leads me but I forizzle will be doing homework while I am home.  Then at 6:30pm my parents are meeting up with two other couples; one of the couples the woman works for my mom (and at the same place I work at) and the man was both mine and my brother's hunter safety instructor, and the other couple has gone to races with my parents (and the other couple).  I am just tagging along for the food because I love the fish fry at the bar they're going to.

Is there anything different about Greek yogurt compared to "regular" yogurt??

Do you enjoy a long weekend??

I would honestly be surprised if there was someone who didn't like a long weekend!

Time to watch (& listen) to this fourth speech so I can get this evaluation done...and then it's Jersey Shore time! :)

Have a good night peeps!

Greek yogurt is a lot thicker and has a lot more protein (and a lot more expensive... :(() For 100 cals, it normally has about 12-15 grams while regular yogurt has 6 grams.

I give you +100 points for those achievements! I agree though about the avals-I'm one to follow directions like it's my job and I hate when people don't.

^^ YES! Greek yogurt has TONS more protein! and You can still get it with no fat, and usually fairly low carb! Its also has less sugar I believe too. Its texture is kind of awkward at first, I reccommend getting Oikos or Chobani with fruit mixed already and add some crunchies (like crush some of your fav cereal or personally i love Kashi go lean crunch mixed in)

Do you think Greek yogurt tastes any different than regular yogurt?? I don't like regular yogurt so I'm wondering if trying Greek yogurt would be worth a shot.

I think greek yogurt is good, it tastes a little different than regular yogurt-- you should get one and try it. I can't really explain it but I think its good-- I also feel like it has less lactose in it(good for a lactose intolerant girl like myself!

I'm sad I had to miss J.short yesterday because I had to drive back to school for my internship this morning! Boo.

I have "long weekends" every week. My classes are done thursday at 12-- so technically its a long weekend but not really bc I have two internships!

I think I might be getting a thing of Greek yogurt to try. Is there a non-fruity flavor I could try? I think trying something plain would be a good idea for my first try.

Awww man! I love my DVR...and before DVR I loved the website of the station the show is on for letting you watch online.

I have "long weekends" every week too. These first 8 weeks it's been Friday-Sunday but after spring break it will be Thursday-Sunday. What are your two internships?

I looooove Jersey Shore. I don't know what but it is just soooo addictive.

As far as Greek yogurt, everything everyone said above is true. It's more expensive but you get more bang for your buck...more protein and more yogurt. The calories are a bit higher, but again, more protein in it. It tastes thicker than other yogurts but is still good. I would recommend not getting a "plain" flavor as your first one. Get one that is strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, or at least vanilla. The plain one's are VERY bitter and I actually only like the flavored ones. But they are yummy! It doesn't really matter what brand you buy...I usually buy whichever is on sale because they're more expensive than regular! Chobani Pineapple is AH-MAZING though, it's by far my favorite!

I love 4 day weekends. Heck I love 3 day weekends! I never used to like sleeping in, but now that I get up at 5:55 everyday, sleeping until 8:30-9:00 feels amazing, and it still allows me to get up early and get things done. I'm the type of person who feels like I have to wake up early and get things done or else I've wasted half my day. But sleeping in until 8 is perfect compared to 6AM!

Have a great weekend! :)

I agree, Jersey Shore is addictive for some reason.

Thanks for all the info about the Greek Yogurt. I think I will try a vanilla flavor as my experiment.

I too feel like I have to get up early to get things done or half the day has been wasted. Unfortunately today I got up at 9 and have now sat on the couch and done nothing cuz I don't feel good and am really tired.

Hope you have a great weekend too!

Yes there is plain Greek yogurt! Thats what I have in my fridge right now..

I love my DVR too! The damn thing keeps telling me its nearly full! I'll have to start deleting some shows i've already watched... boo!

My one internship is with Quality control--- basically making sure that the Patients Medical record is truly their record.. (like making sure my SSN didn't get mixed up with yours if we were in an accident together..) and my second one is basically like writing software codes that allow a physician to order like an MRI through the computer (paperless) and also have the results shipped back to him via the internet.. Its far more complex than that but I figure I'd spare you the guts. hahah
